Evil Dungeon released!
Another Ludum Dare in the books!
After 72 hours of caffeine-fueled mania, Evil Dungeon, a 2D Dungeon Crawler game made for Ludum Dare 44, has been released!
The goal of LD44 was to create a game with the theme “Your life is currency”. I decided to make a game where the player has to escape a maze-like dungeon, shrouded in darkness, while passing through Demon Gates which are essentially toll booths that drain health. Besides avoiding obstacles like spike traps and arrow launchers, the player has to be mindful about the route they choose to prevent paying the ultimate price - their life!
This was my third game jam. As usual, it came right down to the wire. I’ll be writing a post-mortem after the voting is over but needless to say I learned numerous things that will help my game development process going forward.
Evil Dungeon runs on PC/Mac/Linux in web browser via WebGL. There are also Windows and MacOS builds available to download. Give it a try and let me know what you think!
